Harness topper Eise 489 Sport Elite AAA is moving to America

The KFPS stud book stallion Eise 489 Sport Elite AAA goes to America. This became known at the stallion show in Harish on Saturday 8 April, where Eise 489 with “mate” Jurre 495 in the long queues received a standing ovation during their final show. The stallion will be owned by Bonanza Ranch in Florida and will go to Wim Cazemier’s stallion station in Indiana.

Four-time champion carriage riding stallion

The 14-year-old stallion by Stahl Chardon has a proven track record, especially in harness racing. He has won the Silverbowl no fewer than four times. In 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 he won the Horse Book Championship for Carriage. The stallion, bred by the De Vries family out of Hindeloopen, became Horse of the Year 2016. Last year, Eise 489 made waves at the Friesian Proms, at the Stallion Inspection and at the KWPN with stablemate and five-time Hong Kong champion Jurre 495 in the long lines. Last year they became champions in duo and tandem formation.

Hit in the harness, strong under the saddle

The son of Maurits 437 out of Ster Preferente Performance’s mother Olof 315 comes from line 15 and was approved in 2015 as a six-year-old. He received his appointment to the Central Investigation mainly due to his performance in the belt. Among others, he was reserve champion in the Pavo Friso Trophy in 2015. During the CO, he also achieved his highest score in harness with 85 points, but also shone under saddle with 84.5 points. He competes in the heavy round with Marcia Dickman.

Fun personality

In 2020, it featured its first crop of three-year-olds. He made an excellent impression during ABFP inspections and tests. It is one of the strongest sires in the trotting trait. The offspring are also distinguished by their very gentle character. Approximately 850 matings have been recorded for Eise 489 through 2022. He has five descendants who have been declared Crown and three who have been awarded the AAA title. Eise 489 successfully completed its offspring research in 2021 and is therefore finally approved.
