German farmers will paralyze the country on Monday, and road users must take into account delays and inconvenience | Dinkyland
Following in the footsteps of their Dutch colleagues, German farmers also took to the roads to protest government policies. Police expect massive traffic chaos on Monday and are calling on other road users to avoid highways and regional roads. Dutch farmers may join the protests.
The Kreis Borken police are taking into account the participation of at least 1,100 farmers in the area between Vreden and Ahaus and the intention is that they will drive en masse on the highway in the direction of Dortmund, Krefeld, Duisburg and Münster. Regional roads will also be barely fit for other traffic.
Opposite the regional newspaper Grafshafter News (GN), one of the farmers participating in the demonstrations explains that people should take time off work or work from home. This indicates a possible blockage of federal, state and county roads.
