The first Gamechanger event will take place on the evening of Thursday, November 9th at Bioscience Park. An event where fans and developers of games, analogue, digital or virtual reality can meet and inspire each other.
Gamechangers is organized by Merel Rem, Dennis de Beeld and Rafael Jezior in collaboration with Biopartner. The reason was the board game that Dennis and Rafael had developed during their studies: Immunowars, “the most contagious board game.” A board game with real monsters, such as infectious diseases, that must be defeated. But you also learn in a fun way how this little universe, our immune system, works.
Games provide the opportunity to show how fun and inspiring science is and what educational possibilities it offers. So the game makers want to create a community where scientists, game developers, budding entrepreneurs, and educators can meet each other. You are also very welcome as a gaming enthusiast and a novice developer.
During the event, you can play with the developer of the popular game Organ Attack, developed by The Awkard Yeti, author and cartoonist Nick Seluk. Immune warfare can of course also be played. Quantum Tic Tac Toe, Elementary, a card game about the elementary particles of our existence and Cryptis, where an evil artificial intelligence must be defeated, are among many others. VR fans will also get their money’s worth at Virtuorium.
You can still register, new games are very welcome. Reservations are essential. Free admission.
