“For Arne Slott, the decision on Geertruda was a little easier than the decision on Weirman,” says Inan, previewing the weekend. “Feyenoord play Excelsior this weekend and an important match for the winter in the Champions League against Atletico awaits in midweek. It’s easy to bench Geertruda against Excelsior. Can you save Weerman against FC Twente, that seems to be the question at PSV.
In Eindhoven they have attackers and plenty of 10s. But there really is no substitute for Jerdy Schouten or Joey Veerman. “Soughton and Weirman are really a couple. But no player has a substitute. If Veeraman is not fit, Saipari can play there. But yes, let’s say Weirman is 95% fit, then what do you do?
