Dita Von Teese is postponing retirement for now

Dita Von Teese is backing away from her plans to retire at age 50. The 49-year-old American, model and burlesque dancer, feels “fitter than ever” and will continue to work out for as long as she feels that way.

“I am so grateful to live in a time when the public is so accepting of older women setting an example,” she said. “I think everyone is being criticized these days for the influence of social media,” she told Love Sunday.

Dita, whose real name is Heather Renee Sweet, revealed that she finds confidence in her distinctive and attractive looks. The star explained, “Red lipstick, my hair the way I like it and the clothes I think compliment me. I have a signature style that hasn’t changed in 20 years and we have to stay true to ourselves to feel confident.” Outside.
