Chinney Alliance Group Limited has announced that Mr. James Sing-Wai Wong has succeeded as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company while continuing in his current position as Chief Executive Officer of the Company. James Singh Wai Wong is 59 years old and was appointed CEO of the company in August 2010. He graduated from the University of Washington with a BA Honors degree in Economics.
He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Law (formerly UCSD Hastings College of Law), and an MSc in Systems Engineering and Information Systems from Florida Institute of Technology. . He is a member of the California Bar and is licensed as a real estate agent. He has more than thirty years of experience in economics, law, management and information systems in Hong Kong, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and mainland China.
Mr. Wong Ho, Chairman and Director of Chinney Alliance Engineering Limited, Jacobson van den Berg (Hong Kong) Limited and Director of Chinney Alliance (China) Limited, Chinney Construction Company, Limited, Kin Wing Engineering Company Limited, Shun Cheong Electrical Engineering Company Limited, all major subsidiaries of the company. Mr. Wong is the Executive Director of Chinney Investments, Limited, Director of Chinney Holdings Limited and Lucky Year Finance Limited, all major shareholders of the Company, Director of Chinney Capital Limited, and is a shareholder of the Company. He is also the CEO of Chinney Kin Wing Holdings Limited and Hon Kwok Land Investment Company, Limited.
Chinney Investments, Hon Kwok and Chinney Kin Wing are listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Limited. He is the son of Dr. James Sai Wing Wong, founder of the group and a major shareholder in the company. Mr. Wong was a Director of Lion Mark Holdings Limited and Lion Foods Limited from May 1995 to July 2007.
The Lion Group was incorporated in the United Kingdom and was engaged in the production and processing of foodstuffs and the trading of ingredients. Lion Group was put into administration on October 10, 2002. The whole company was sold by the administrators in the same year and Lion Group was subsequently dissolved in July 2007.
