World heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has reopened the door to a fight with Anthony Joshua.
Boxing icon Fury has stated that he would like to fight, but has doubts about whether Joshua is open to it. The two boxers are currently in talks for a four-man tournament to be held in Saudi Arabia in December.
Fury has always wanted to fight British superstar Joshua, but the two just haven’t gotten along yet. Fury is currently without a rival after negotiations with Oleksandr Usyk broke down. He also made attempts to get Andy Ruiz Jr. And the temptation of Zhilei Zhang to fight in a stadium in the United Kingdom.
Anger may be against Joshua after all
Joshua lost two matches but regained winning form by a points decision over Jermaine Franklin. A win against Deontay Wilder would put him back in the world title mix, and potentially get a mandatory WBC shot against Fury even if the uncontested fight doesn’t happen.
So the two boxers are in talks to take a fight in Saudi Arabia in December, and it looks like we’ll finally get to see the much-anticipated British mega-fight.
