Almelo students can build the best Lego robot and go to America

It was a party at Delgenborch Primary School in Schelforst. A team of six students won the competition on Saturday First Lego League Challenge. They built the best robot and are therefore allowed to go to America.

There are six students in the team Muddy Zunder They built a robot out of Lego that they had to program. The Almelo team did this well and beat forty other school teams.

The first Lego League

Since the start of the school year, more than 11,000 students have started working The first Lego League. This technology competition challenges students to discover their technical talents using Lego. In this way they develop digital and communication skills, the organization says.

Final in Den Bosch

The national final was held on Saturday 9 March in Den Bosch. 41 teams competed against each other and showcased their self-designed and programmed robots in action. They had to convince the jury with a presentation explaining their robot.

Travel to Houston

Awards were presented in seven categories during the event. Almelo Group Muddy Zunder Grand Prize Winner: The Champions Award. Now that students have qualified for the World Festival in Houston, they can start packing their bags. The tour is from 17th to 20th April.

Second year in a row

This isn't the first time Delgenborch has been allowed to visit Houston. In fact, Almelo Elementary School also won last year Tickets to the World Festival.
