Eavesdropping equipment may have been found in a ministers’ meeting room in the Polish city of Katowice. Intelligence services are investigating the sensitive case and have not yet mentioned anything about any potential suspects. An important meeting is planned in the room today.
European Commission President von der Leyen is in Katowice. A future plan for the European Union is expected to be drawn up as part of the 16th European Economic Conference. Polish Prime Minister Tusk met with von der Leyen and members of his cabinet.
A Cabinet meeting is scheduled for 12 noon, Polish media wrote. The discovery was made in this conference room. It was announced this morning that the security services “found and disabled equipment that could be used for eavesdropping.”
