Reynaldo Musendijk, known as Powisi for buying gold in Suriname, was arrested by police on Saturday afternoon at Nieuwe Haven station and released on Sunday morning.
Boyce tells Waterkant.Net he was having a quiet time with friends along Calcutta Street when officers arrived. According to him, he was arrested without any reason and taken to the police station until he woke up.
According to Mosendijk, at some point he was severely abused by strangers and lost consciousness. When he was released on Sunday morning, he realized that two teeth had come out of his mouth and his face was injured. “The police released me with my teeth knocked out and my face injured.”
Boyce said he asked police officers how he was injured and they claimed it was because he fought himself. Musendijk says he has severe pain in his face and will see his doctor as soon as he feels better.
According to police, Boise was taken because he was going on a rampage in the neighborhood. At the center, he revolted again against some detainees, and at some point he was assaulted.
