to Victims There were three Dutch tourists walking down a street in Elche. The police did not provide any other information about their identity and gender. Apparently it's about three Dutch people who were vacationing in or near the popular holiday destination and their vacation turned into a nightmare.
Dutch was walking across the street when the suspect suddenly approached them. He harassed them, demanded money, and threatened them with a large kitchen knife. Fortunately, the victims were able to escape and notified police via the emergency number 112. They were able to give officers a description of the man and his clothes. After only a few minutes, the perpetrator was arrested after fierce resistance from the man.
The suspect in the robbery is a 41-year-old man, whose identity has not been revealed. He confronted the Dutch in the street and threatened them while demanding money. When the victims managed to escape, he quickly threw the knife into a nearby trash can.
The man had previously been in trouble with the law in three similar incidents. He mentioned to the police “I just asked for money, and I didn't want anything to do with that knife.” It appears that the suspect was in need of money and thus committed this desperate act.
The man is now suspected of armed robbery. He has been handed over to the judicial authorities in Elche, which will decide any prosecution. Given his criminal record and the seriousness of the case, a strict prison sentence seems inevitable.
