Cartier Women’s Initiative 2023 announces winners and appeals

Cartier Women’s Initiative 2023

The program has been expanded with two new regional categories: Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa and Oceania. Regions now include Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, Europe, Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa, Anglophone and Lusophone Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, East Asia, South Asia and Central Asia, and Oceania.
Focusing on entrepreneurial solutions to the growing gap between access, success and opportunity for disadvantaged communities, two awards have been launched: Science & Technology Pioneer Awards And Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Awards. Other awards focus on supporting women, but this one is aimed at all genders. Three people will be selected for each of these two awards.
Winners
At the end, first, second and third place winners for eleven prizes were announced. First prize was $100,000 and second and third place received $60,000 and $30,000 respectively. Winners received personal coaching, media exposure, networking opportunities from the Cartier Women’s Initiative and training from leading business school INSEAD.
