Middelburger Ruben Boutens (30) takes third place in Milton Keynes, England, during the British Rental Kart Championship, the first major indoor kart championship in 2023.
The title fight was staged on the indoor Formula Fast Karting circuit. One hundred contestants from Europe and America competed against each other. The competition also served as a qualification for the World Indoor Kart Championship, which will be held in Kortrijk in July this year.
The competition took place in England over two days, with all competitors completing four heat races. The top 30 semi-finalists competed for a coveted spot in the final (ten riders). Pottens finished seventh in the Grand Final and fought his way up and ended up with a third place podium finish.
Limburger Vika Schleides became the champion, and Brambander Bram Galten finished second.
