Hafizh Syahrin and the MIE Racing Honda Team have extended their partnership for another year. Thus, the Malaysian will be active in the team colors for the second consecutive season in the FIM World Championship.
After the Mie Racing Honda team recently announced the arrival of Brazilian driver Eric Granado, they have now also extended the agreement with Hafiz Syahren.
Syahrin debuted with the team in the 2022 season and in the WorldSBK class. The 28-year-old driver scored world championship points in four races and finished the season on a high note, both in terms of performance and consistency.
Hafez Syria: “I am very happy to be riding for MIE Racing Honda again next season. I know Midori (Moriwaki) is a stronger package for 2023 where I will do my best, based on last year’s experience and aim to finish in the points every race. My main goal is to become more competitive and I’m willing to work hard to make it happen.”
Midori Moriwaki. Mie Racing Honda Team Owner: “I am very happy to announce the extension of the contract with Hafiz, who made his debut with us in World Superbike last season and has grown steadily throughout the season. I believe he and Eric (Granado) will make a strong and competitive pair and he will help us develop our project with Honda in this category and promote the WorldSBK Championship and the bikes Firearms in South America and Asia, two very strategic regions for our sport.”
The MIE Racing Honda Team completes its line-up for the 2023 Superbike World Championship. The team is almost certain to announce its plans for the new Honda WorldSSP project soon. One of the main candidates for a seat in this new venture is Tarran Mackenzie, a Briton who recently ended his contract with McAMS Yamaha on British Superbike and has yet to announce his new plans to the world.
