Truss must quickly assemble a ministerial team
The new prime minister must now put together her cabinet as quickly as possible, because the first parliamentary question hour is already scheduled for Wednesday. The opposition wants to know how it will deal with rising energy and living costs.
According to the news agency bloomberg Truss plans to allocate £130 billion (€151 billion) to save households from rising energy bills. In addition, a £40 billion (more than €46 billion) package is said to be ready to support businesses.
