Simone Biles may have seven Olympic medals and nine world titles on her honors list, but that doesn’t mean she’s recognized everywhere. In fact, a flight attendant mistook her for a toddler a few days ago and offered her a coloring book to make the long flight more fun.
There is no doubt that the embarrassing situation will have to do with His Highness the American. She is only 1.42 meters tall and looks very young. Apparently reason enough to painfully wrong host.
Biles herself responded with an awkward face to her Instagram Stories. “This cannot be true. The flight attendant tried to give me a coloring book while I was on the plane…” No, thanks. I am already 25 years old, I replied.
Then a colleague asked the flight attendant if Biles was old enough to drink alcohol. “Fortunately I got a cocktail, so everything was forgiven and forgotten.”
The successful athlete was supposed to be on her way to her hometown of Texas. Last Friday, she received the Medal of Freedom from US President Joe Biden in Washington. Thus Biles became the youngest surviving person to receive the decoration. “I hope you find a place for this medal,” Biden joked.
