According to game journalist Jason Schreier, Firaxis is working on an XCOM-style game, but with Marvel superheroes, and Gearbox is showing off a new Borderlands show at E3. There is also information about “Codename Volt” and NBA2K22.
The news came first in the form of a Redditpost site, but was later told by game journalist Schreyer, who writes for Bloomberg, confirmed. The new XCOM-style game is being developed by the same studio that has been developing XCOM games since 2012 XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Ready.
The fact that a new Borderlands was on the way was already well known in its own right: it was announced last month confirmed, including the “before April 2022” release window. The Reddit poster now comes with some additional information. The game can be named Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, after a registered trademark. Again, there will be several playable characters, but this time with “multiple classes” for each character. According to the Reddit post, reveal can be expected during E3.
The poster also talked about NBA 2K22 and ‘Codename Volt’ being shown on the show. The latter will be an action game, described as “Cthulhu mixed with Saints Row”. Cthulhu probably refers to a supernatural horror and Saints Row is an open world game.
Take-Two Interactive parent company 2K will host a press conference for E3 at 5 p.m. on June 14. It can be followed via live broadcast.
Update, 12:27: Sources say that not all games will be shown during E3. This can only be expected from Borderlands. The article has been updated with this information.
