Nick Kyrgios was forced to retire during the third round of the US Open due to a hip injury, and subsequently copped yet another spray from John McEnroe, but the controversial Aussie left Flushing Meadows with one sparkling highlight reel moment.

During his clash with Ilya Marchenko, Kyrgios finished a 21-shot rally with a breathtaking drop shot.

The magnificent piece of play occurred with the scores tied 2-2 in the second set after Kyrgios had claimed the first, but the injury got the better of him and he pulled the pin after Marchenko prevailed in the second and third sets.
