Chris Paul’s long-awaited return to Staples Center in the Houston Rockets’ strip to take on his former LA Clippers teammates didn’t quite go according to plan, with the home side prevailing 113-102 in a fiery encounter.

Though his performance was overshadowed by run-ins with ex-teammate Blake Griffin, CP3 still produced team-high points (19) and assist (7) tallies.

And there’s no denying the massive impact Paul has had on the Rockets, turning the team into a genuine threat to the Warriors’ dominance in the West.

Tenth all-time in the NBA for assists, Paul is averaging 9.1 dimes per game. Here’s his best of the season so far for Houston:
