Warning: Millions of Android phones are infected

Although the Play Store removes many rogue apps, sometimes it loses an app. By “application” we mean 32 apps in this case, because at least it’s a number of malware apps that should be removed from your device ASAP.

Malware on your Android phone

New apps and app updates are uploaded to the Play Store every day. Although these are almost always heavily garbled, some malicious apps can still sneak in. 32 known apps found Malware or be adware. Malware stands for “malicious software,” which is software that infects your smartphone with worms, trojans, spyware, and viruses. Sometimes to steal your passwords, sometimes to harass people from your contact lists.

Adware is software that you also don’t want, because ads are shown on your screen, while you think the app is for something else (for example, based on the name or description). Very annoying and very undesirable, so it is better to stay away from this. You may think that you are downloading a handy virtual keyboard or something to improve your phone, but nothing could be further from the truth.

Good for your battery

Most of these apps are no longer available on the Play Store, but they may still be on your phone. So check the list of apps for your smartphone. Very safe. Especially since some apps look a little different on your home screen or in the app drawer. So it is always a good idea to look in the list of apps under Settings and if you see one of the names above, remove it immediately. It is also very good for your battery, because many programs, running secretly in the background, drain the battery significantly.
