Video metDutch volleyball players won their second Olympic qualifying match in Xi’an, China. National coach Roberto Piazza’s team was too strong for Mexico 3-0. The group scores were 25-19, 25-19, 25-16. The Dutch national team began the tournament with a narrow defeat to Canada.

The Netherlands did not face any problems against Mexico, which is ranked 21st in the world rankings. The Dutch national team is eleven places ahead in the world rankings.
Piazza’s men have a rest day on Monday. Then the Dutch national team will face its Belgian counterpart on Tuesday. Bulgaria, China, Poland and Argentina are the other competitors in the group. The two best teams will qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris next year.
