The Ukrainian military reportedly attacked and damaged two landing ships with naval drones in the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula. The Ukrainian General Staff published video footage claiming to show the new attack on the west coast. In addition, a Ukrainian missile reportedly hit a residence for Russian soldiers in a nearby settlement. According to Ukrainian reports, the two Syrna landing ships that were bombed were carrying armored vehicles, among other things.
The Okrajinska Prauda newspaper wrote in the afternoon, based on Ukrainian intelligence sources, that the ships were beyond repair. The pro-Ukrainian Telegram channel “Krymskyi veter” (“Crimean winds”) reported the early morning missile attack on Russian barracks, citing local residents. The information could not be independently verified. This morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the alleged launch of two drones over the Crimean Peninsula. But Moscow authorities did not comment on the naval attacks on ships or the suspected attack on the barracks.
