Truss should quickly put together a ministerial team
The new prime minister must now assemble her ministerial team as quickly as possible, because the date for the first parliamentary inquiry is already scheduled for Wednesday. The opposition wants to know how it will deal with the rising costs of energy and the cost of living.
According to the news agency Bloomberg Truss plans to set aside 130 billion pounds (151 billion euros) to save families from rising energy bills. In addition, a package worth 40 billion pounds (more than 46 billion euros) will be ready to support businesses.
