Three countries swim under the world record in 4 x 200 meters

Swimming under the world record isn’t enough to get a good spot, as it turned out during the 4 x 200 meter freestyle during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. In the first three 200 meters, the Australian women were in the lead even just before the switch, after which China took the lead . America followed a reasonable distance, until Katie Ledecky entered the water. The American quickly bypassed Australia and got close to China, but it was not enough to get a gold medal. The three nations swam under the world record.
