Tineke de Nooij wants to return to radio within six months of her decision to retire. The 81-year-old presenter said she regrets her decision to stop.
Soon, De Nooij will be able to count on airtime on Radio Veronica’s digital-themed Vintage Veronica channel. Its announcer, Rob Stenders, promised to do so.
“I miss her so much,” De Nooij said on a four-hour special of Veterans that aired on Veronica. “I’m home with three cats in the woods. I really mean it. I miss music. I come in today cranky because it’s really hot, and all those stairs and noises… and I wear these headphones and they are there.”
And de Nuyge suggested she might do something “just one more time”. “I think it’s on the internet or something, a really stupid thing. And if you guys say ‘we’ve got a nice few hours,’ well I’ll come.”

Stenders was also present in the studio and immediately offered a spot for De Nooij. “It should be possible to arrange this, Tineke,” the DJ and channel manager said. “We’ll give you back your hobby.” De Nooij was pleasantly surprised by Stenders’ offer. She was “completely surprised” and thanked Stenders for his presentation.
De Nooij said goodbye to the radio at the end of January after sixty years when she finished Omroep MAX TinekeShow She was last presented on NPO Radio 5. On the occasion of her retirement she was knighted in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
With a show on Vintage Veronica, De Nooij goes back to her roots. She co-founded Radio Veronica in 1960 and became the first female disc jockey in the Netherlands.
The exact details of De Nooij watches are not yet known. It is also not clear when it will be heard.
