The United States opens its borders on November 8 for travelers from Europe

Kevin Munoz (White House Assistant Press Secretary) confirms that the United States will open its borders to fully vaccinated foreign travelers from November 8.

Before boarding a flight to the United States, passengers must show proof of vaccination.

Europe

In early November, the White House announced on September 20 that the United States would lift restrictions on air travel to 33 countries, including China, India, Brazil and much of Europe. The exact date was not announced at that time; November 8, 2021 Confirmed by the White House.

Barrier to entry

The U.S. ban on non-essential travel has been in effect since the beginning of 2020. It was launched for travelers from China, but soon followed the entry ban for travelers from countries such as Iran, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, South Africa, India and Europe.

With the latest openings, KLM, among others, has decided to offer additional flights to the US from December 7 to Las Vegas and Miami. Reserved passengers can re-book a direct flight free of charge by contacting KLM.
