The new Aipaper is a digital notebook with smart functions.
Digital notebooks are alternatives to tablets that feature their own e-ink screens, which make reading more enjoyable and less distracting. You can write or draw on these devices using a stylus. The new Aipaper has a large e-paper screen and multiple AI functions.
Manufacturers like Remarkable, Kobo, and Onyx have previously offered digital notebooks with eInk displays, and now they have a new competitor. The new Viwoods paper Raised over 100k euros in just a few days via kickstarterThis digital laptop promises, among other things, new possibilities for artificial intelligence.
Aipaper is available in a large 10.3-inch size and a smaller 8.2-inch mini version. The black and white eInk screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1920, suitable for 300 dpi.
Four weeks of battery life
They have a sleek and very slim design. At 4.5mm thick, the Aipaper is slightly thinner than its competitors. There is 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Aipaper has WiFi and Bluetooth and runs Android 13. The device weighs 370 grams.
The 4,100mAh battery is good for around four weeks of battery life. There’s a built-in fingerprint sensor for unlocking, a USB-C port for charging, and microphones for voice control.
Pen and AI features
The Aipaper comes with a pen with a digital eraser and an adjustable second button. The pen supports tilt gestures and different pen types. The pen has a Wacom tip and also works with other digital notebooks.
The device will have some AI functions, for example to convert handwritten notes into digital text, generate texts and analyze content. You can also ask questions and get answers.
Pricing and Availability
The Viwoods Aipaper currently costs €450 on Kickstarter, and will retail for €799. The mini version is available on the crowdfunding site for €340, which will later become €599. According to the manufacturer, deliveries will start from October.
