Chinese President Xi Jinping will have dinner with US business leaders next week when he visits the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting in San Francisco. These sources were reported by Bloomberg News Agency. Hundreds of people are expected to participate in this dinner, including senior executives from several major companies in the United States.
China has not yet officially announced that Xi will travel to the APEC summit, but that is the case according to insiders. He will also meet with US President Joe Biden.
Xi may want to talk to American businessmen about growing tensions between China and the United States in economic areas, among other matters. Before the APEC summit, a meeting is being organized in which top executives from oil company ExxonMobil, software producer Microsoft and pharmaceutical company Pfizer are expected to participate.
This year, China welcomed several prominent businessmen, including CEO Jamie Dimon of major bank JPMorgan Chase, Tim Cook of Apple, as well as Tesla CEO Elon Musk to discuss US-China trade relations and China’s investment climate.
