“Samsung is considering canceling the release of the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone” – tablets and phones – news
Samsung may consider canceling the Galaxy S21 FE release. The company would have reported this to DDAIly. Samsung, among other things, had omitted the Unpacked event in October, where the smartphone will be presented.
“We have a Galaxy Unpacked offer for the Galaxy S21 FEwhich was scheduled to take place in mid-October, has been canceled,” a Samsung spokesperson reportedly said. Central South Korean DDAIly. “We are also reviewing the smartphone version itself.” With this, the company suggests that the smartphone may not come out at all.
DDaily writes that a global chip shortage, which means fewer high-end smartphone chipsets, is the main reason. According to previous rumors, the smartphone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The same soc is used in the recently released Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and some regional variants of the current Galaxy S21 devices. Samsung prefers to focus on those other devices, as DDaily reports that sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 are particularly good.
Samsung introduced the first FE smartphone last year, in its form Galaxy S20 FE. This smartphone was more expensive than the regular Galaxy S20 and also had Qualcomm Snapdragon soc in Europe. Other European S20 devices had an Exynos chip from Samsung itself.
Offers and possible specifications of the Galaxy S21 FE have already appeared. The smartphone has already appeared in Chinese testing agency Tenaaindicating that their release was imminent. Sources previously mentioned that the smartphone will be launched in August, but Samsung had previously postponed this release internally before the release itself was questioned.
