Rockstar has apologized for the “unexpected technical issues” associated with the recently released GTA remasters. The publisher promises improvements and will bring the classic versions back online, but only through its launch program.

“The updated versions of classic GTA games were released in a condition that did not meet our quality standards, or the standards our fans have come to expect,” Rockstar writes. The company apologizes to the players for this. However, the publisher also claims that the problems were unexpected, according to the letter’s introduction.

Rockstar pledges to address technical issues and improve the three GTA transformers, but concrete details are not yet known. “With each scheduled update, the games will reach the level they deserve,” the company wrote. The three separate adapters will receive an update “in the coming days”.

Rockstar has also spoken out against players who harass the company’s developers on social media. The Company is asking the community to ‘have a respectful, civic conversation’ about gaming ‘while solving problems’.

Prior to the release of GTA remasters, Rockstar pulled the original versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas from digital stores. Now the publisher says it will be available again soon, but only with the Rockstar Launcher. All players who purchased a pack with the GTA Enhancer or purchased before June 30, 2022 will get the Classic Editions for free.
