In addition to higher education, MBO, hairdressers and shops, gyms are also allowed to open again. Shop hours are between 5 AM and 5 PM. There are no restrictions on sports.
According to government sources, this is the result of consultations between the ministers most involved in Catshuis. The advice of the Outbreak Management Team (OMT) was discussed there. This advised to make space for higher education to give physical lessons again, to make shopping by appointment possible and also to allow communication professions to return to work.
