On Friday, September 20, the American expert will give a theater lecture at the Theater Lutens in Wurburg and answer these and other questions. Before his show, the men answered five questions.
How did your love for America really begin?
“My publisher once told me that I should answer that very seriously. After all, I’m a political scientist. But the honest answer: Bassey and Adrian. In the 1990s they made a series in America. I was very fascinated as a boy. I thought: how a country It’s funny and educational TV, and I got my first lesson in politics when they explained what a president basically does. It probably made me an American expert.
Why drama college?
“I often get questions from viewers on Today Inside. My podcast ‘America in 15 Minutes’ also revolves around questions from listeners. I notice that everything that happens in America is very much alive here. I can introduce people to my interest in theater in an engaging way and answer their questions. Since Johan Derksen is not there, I can speak directly for a change.
What exactly can people expect?
“American politics covers a lot of scenes. It’s the biggest show on earth. It gives me countless funny anecdotes, along with some videos, which make the evening not only fascinating but also very funny.
America is so divided, isn’t this story depressing?
“On the contrary. Of course I’m not hiding the reality, but in the end Americans decide who their president is. And, I still love America. This summer I’ll be traveling in states that will be important in November. To get some inspiration, but simply enjoy this beautiful country. The show is not without reason to be called. : Long Live America!
How do you think people will go home after your show?
“America can seem overwhelming. After my dramatic lecture, you’ll understand a little better what’s going on. Here’s how I explain how Trumpism came about and how the electoral vote works.
