Queen Máxima surprises with a Budget Day dress from 2012
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima had dinner with members of the diplomatic corps on Wednesday evening. The annual banquet was held at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. Queen Máxima appeared for the occasion in an elegant evening dress that she had previously worn on Budget Day 2012. See the photos below.

Dinners with members of the diplomatic corps are organized annually to maintain international relations and communicate between Dutch and foreign representatives on topics. This year the evening was all about international business. King Willem-Alexander will deliver a speech during the banquet. Willem-Alexander and Máxima conclude a busy working day with dinner. The king made visits to Friesland and Flevoland. The Queen was in Gelderland on Wednesday on a working visit to Arnhem and Philip.

Fashion queen Maxima
As per protocol, dinner guests are expected to dress formally. Queen Máxima knows what to do with a dress code that requires this type of clothing. On Wednesday evening, she appeared in a red evening dress from the Belgian fashion house Natan. She wore the design during Budget Day 2012.
