Princess Alexia celebrates: Examinations in Wales are complete

The UWC marks the end of the exam period with the traditional Leavers’ Ceremony held today. It remains to be seen if Alexia also passes with flying colors. The final results of the examinations are expected to be released at the beginning of next July.

King Willem-Alexander, who also went to the UWC Atlantic himself, and King Maxima were also there in Wales on Saturday.

Spanish Princess Leonor completed her education at UWC Atlantic. Pictures posted on social media by the Spanish royal family show that her parents, King Felipe and Queen Letizia, were present at the ball in Wales.

Two years ago, Alexia completed her secondary education at Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague. On August 30, 2021, I left for Wales to do my IB there. Once she gets her diploma, she can go to college. Máxima has already indicated in her interview with Matthijs van Nieuwkerk in 2021 that Alexia would prefer to study in the Netherlands, but that she does not yet know what study it will be. According to royalty expert Anne-Marie de Condre, it will take some time to get used to Alexia, who has recently felt completely anonymous in Wales. “Alexia still has to fetch her white hat and sunglasses regularly. Because in the Netherlands, the princess is a little better known than in remote Wales.”
