Ambulance personnel can determine the severity of a cerebral infarction using a smart swimming cap. An encephalogram (EEG) can be made using electrodes in a swimming cap. This EEG shows whether there is a cerebral infarction and how bad it is.
The earlier a cerebral infarction is treated, the less chance of negative consequences. Correct diagnosis in the ambulance saves valuable time.
The Dutch disposed of a smaller amount last year
Last year, approximately 455 kilograms of household waste was collected per resident. This means 48 kilograms less per Dutch person than in 2021. Compared to that year, less paper, cardboard, rubble, clean soil and wood waste were also disposed of.

New technology to remove tumors
Two lung tumors were removed at Erasmus Medical Center using a new technique advertisement. The operation was performed using a surgical robot. Such a robot is controlled using a type of joystick.
