Patients wait in British ambulances until nine in the morning to enter

Patients brought to hospital by ambulances have to wait an unprecedented length of time before entering Great Britain. In some cases, the head of the nursing board told the station, it could take up to nine hours for the hospital to be ready to accept a patient. Sky News.

Long waiting times in hospitals have direct consequences for other people in a medical emergency. Sometimes it can take up to ten hours for an ambulance to reach them.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said the capital’s ambulance service was responding between 8,000 and 9,000 calls per day, with firefighters and police officers calling in to drive ambulances.

According to Health Secretary Matt Hancock, the situation in UK hospitals is “extremely dangerous”. So he called on residents once again to abide by the lockdown rules.

In London, hospitals are at risk of overload due to the crisis. Firefighters and officers were deployed there to manage ambulances.

2 million people were vaccinated

In the United Kingdom, vaccination is taking place at a good pace: about two million people have already been vaccinated against the Coronavirus. Hancock said that as many people were vaccinated last week as in December. So, he says, things are going faster and faster in the right direction. He wants to announce daily how many people have been vaccinated.

In the country of 68 million people, about 59 million coronavirus tests have been performed and 3 million infections have been identified. There are serious concerns about a new type of virus. So far, according to health authorities, nearly 80,000 coronavirus patients have succumbed to Covid-19. There are currently around 3,000 patients in critical condition in the hospital.
