Orange on Top of Q-School: Seven Nationals Victory Tour Card | Darts
At least seven Dutch people have been able to obtain a card for a PDC circuit through the Q-School. After four days of toil in Kalkar, Germany, Mike Koivenhoven, Jeffrey de Zwaan, Richard Veenstra, Nils Zonnefeld, Owen Roelofs, Geoffrey Sparidan and Jian van Veen are among the lucky fourteen to win the rights to play for at least two years.
On the opening day, Sparidaans was the first Dutchman to win one of the fourteen coveted Tourist Cards. He did when he instantly became the winner of the day, the “easiest” way to get a card. De Zwaan could follow his compatriot’s lead on Saturday, and the rest came down to the rankings that would qualify him for Germany’s last ten Tourist Cards.
Kuivenhoven was the best ‘European’ Q school archer over the course of four days. In fact, the entire top three consisted of the Dutch with Kuivenhoven, Veenstra and Zonneveld. Van Veen and Roelofs took the last two cards, while Arjan Konterman fouled as No. 12. The same goes for Perry van Beer, Jelle Klassen, Benito van de Pas and Ron Meulenkamp, among others. The latter has not scored a single ranking point in four days.
Darts players from the United Kingdom at the same time vied for the right to play in Milton Keynes. There, Fallon Sherrock and John Henderson, among others, failed to get a tour card. Another notable name dating back to the top of the PDC circle is Cory Cadby. The Australian was once thought to have a great future, but he has been plagued by problems in recent years. the king I decided to try again and impressed Q-School by winning the second day in Kalkar.
