Google will soon have a waiting list for users of the free old version of G Suite. Users who join this list before June 1st will be eligible for the free Google Workspace option when it becomes available.

If not, your paid Google Workspace subscription will be suspended until billing is done. Administrators who have already switched to a paid version of Workspace, but still want to sign up for the free version, can contact customer service to add them to the waiting list.
