Niantic and TPC announce new details for Pokémon GO global tournaments

Earlier, the first details of the Pokémon GO World Championships were announced and now more information has been released. This way we know how some players can qualify and where the regional and international competitions will be at the moment where players can qualify. We’ve rounded up all the details announced today for you below:

• There are two age groups in which you will play Pokémon GO
  • Section One: Gibbern in 2006, 2007 and 2008 from 2009
  • Master’s Division: Born in 2005 or before
• Only played in a great league format
• Players bring their own accounts, but play (unless otherwise noted) with the tournament phone
• Early registration is coming for players who have become legends this season
• All other players can register afterwards
• Registration opens sometime in January
• The following are available to grab tournaments:
• Regional Championships:
  • First place: Invitation to attend the World Championships and compensation for the trip there
  • Second place: Invitation to attend the World Championship
• International Championships
  • First place: Invitation to attend the World Championships and compensation for the trip there
  • Second place: Invitation to attend the World Championships and compensation for the trip there
  • Third and Fourth Place: Invitation to attend the World Championship
• Pokémon GO matches will be played on the following dates:
• Regional Championship: March 26-27, 2022: Liverpool, United Kingdom
• International Championship: April 22-24, 2022 Messe Frankfurt, Frankfurt am Main, Germany
• Tournaments can still be added
