The new photo of British Princess Catherine was met with mixed reactions. British-Zambian artist Hannah Ozor painted a portrait of Prince William’s wife specifically for the cover of Tatler magazine. However, many people do not think that the photo looks right.
Ozor depicted Catherine in the white dress she wore to her father-in-law Charles’s first state banquet as king. She based her work on thousands of photos of the princess. The artist also incorporated the recent news surrounding Catherine’s cancer diagnosis into her canvas. “Without a doubt,” she told Sky News: “All my photos are made up of different layers of the character, based on everything I can find about her.”
The Telegraph criticized the image, writing that it was “unbearably bad”. A lot of people on social media also think it doesn’t look good. “This is another woman in her dress,” someone writes on X, for example.
The first official photo of Charles, which was revealed last week, also received many divided reactions. Due to the dominant red colours, some people have compared it to a scene from a horror movie.
