Missing Gisela and Michelle ‘drunk and robbed’
It was a huge shock: Brabant couple Gisela “Naki” Rosenberg and Michel Weiss, who were on holiday in the south of France, had not spoken for several days. Several people took action to find them, but now it seems that they were victims of robbery and, according to the daughter, even poisoning.
The missing couple are part of the Sinti community in Best. Everyone in the trailer park is concerned about the disappearance. “This is not for them, they usually call several times a day, and now we haven’t heard from them in two days,” Lala Weiss, Michelle’s sister, said earlier. Major concerns
The couple left for southern Europe by car on Thursday. The last contact was when the couple was in the southern French city of Montélimar (between Lyon and Montpellier). The last contact was on Friday. It later turned out that Gisela’s number was online, but when trying to call, the call went unanswered. The family was very worried at that moment.
“I usually call them twenty times a day, but now for two days nothing at all.”
Wendelin’s daughter
“I usually communicate with them 20 times a day, by phone or via the app, but now for two days nothing at all,” said daughter Wendoleen. Not wanting to wait, she decided to drive to the south of France.
“We went to gas stations and showed people pictures,” Wendell says. “They recognized the vehicle there. A woman saw the vehicle at the campground.”
Once there, the couple’s other daughter was able to find their parents. “It turned out that someone sprayed gas into the camper in the parking lot of a gas station, put them to sleep and then the camper was stolen,” Wendell said of the poisoning. “They were completely destroyed, they had nothing left.”
