The new devices are easy to use and suitable for all ages. Equipment operation and more information about the exercises can be found in the dashboards. You can also scan the QR code using your smartphone. “I challenge people in Mechelen to definitely test out the devices while walking, running or accidentally passing through. The more we move, the better,” says Abdulrahman Labsir (Vld-Groen-m+), a member of the Alpine Sports Council.

There are exercise benches at Frans Halvest station, at Nekkerspoel station, at Haverwerf and at Guido Gezelelaan. The various functions of the bank make it an absolute added value on our way. That is why we have chosen to give them a place in our path several times,” explains Ships. Such a seat has also been on Hendrik Speecqvest for some time.

You can choose where to start the exercises. Centjesmuur is a file Triathlon exercises Formulated for strength training. On Battery Street you will find an exercise and fitness equipment in the form of a hand bike. You can train the arms and upper body with it. In total, the city invested 41,000 euros in the project. “Thanks to the resources we have received from Sport Vlaanderen.”

This launched a call for sports and exercise projects in public spaces. (svh)
