Legato is a metroidvania that recognizes and commemorates Mesoamerican culture before the discovery of the Americas.

In last week’s season of events surrounding the Summer Games Festival, we saw other presentations that focused on more interesting indie games. We know there are hundreds of games on offer and covering them all is a daunting task, but even among the crowd there are some that stand out for their originality or premise like Plus Ultra: Legacy.

The topic is the Metroidvania Roguelite project, which aims to raise awareness of the value of Mesoamerican cultures that gradually disappeared after the discovery of America and lost after its conquest by Europeans. Now we know that the game will be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch in the future because their Kickstarter campaign Not over yet, they have already raised over €32,000 of the €25,000 they initially asked for the project. Pontica’s developers promise to add even more local languages ​​to the game if they reach 40,000 euros (before 35 hours), with English and Spanish already confirmed.
