Aalsmeer – On Friday, October 13, the Floral Art Museum in Alsmere opens its doors for an evening of Latin American music presented by the duo ‘Claudia y Manito’. Titled ‘Arpamor’, the concert promises to be a journey through the rich musical traditions of South America. Claudia Van Tricht, accompanied by a Paraguayan harp, will perform melancholic zambas, rhythmic tangos and pieces from Paraguay and Venezuela. His brilliant voice and guitar playing bring the emotion of this music to life. Guitarist Manito brings a mixture of flamenco and gypsy music with different influences.
The concert starts at 8:00pm and doors open at 7:30pm. Location Flower Art Museum at Kudelstaartseweg 1 in Aalsmeer, free parking. Tickets are available from the Aalsmere Arts and Culture Foundation website and from the box office (if not sold out).
In addition, two more concerts in the ‘Music in the Museum’ series are planned for later this year, including performances by cellist Hanneke Ruwe and master musicians Merel Verkammen and Maya Friedman. Tickets for these concerts can now be booked via the KCA Foundation website.
