A special evening at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague. King Willem-Alexander put Richard Krajicek in the spotlight on Monday by presenting him with a special award. The former tennis player received the Medal of Honor for Progress and Creativity in the Order of the Orange House in the presence of Queen Máxima and his wife Daphne Deckers. Krajicek received the award for his many years of dedication to the sport from the Krajicek Foundation. The royal couple has known him longer than today, because Krajicek is closely involved in the annual King’s Games. During King Willem-Alexander’s investiture in 2013, Richard and his wife could also count on an invitation.
