It was just announced by Kai and Tom & Bram at Qmusic that Markelo’s 23-year-old Joyce would be having her own wax statue in Madame Tussauds Amsterdam. After an exciting finale, it will be immortalized among the stars in the Interactive Attraction group.
Last week, there was a “mysterious” star in Qmusic’s studio every single day. Listeners can guess who’s behind the screen every hour for a chance to reach the final. This just happened at Madame Tussauds. During the Kai Merckx, Tom van der Weerd and Bram Krikke show, the finalists have to do all kinds of exciting missions. In the end, Joyce manages to take her place among the stars.
In the end, Joyce and Sandy had to find a phone hidden somewhere in Madame Tussauds and it would ring. It turns out that the phone was near the statue of Humberto Tan. Joyce found the phone. “I still cut my breath a little. I threw Sandy aside too, sorry for that! She had a head start, so I overtaken her a little cruelly!” When asked what the wax statue should look like, she replied, “The statue should wear sportswear anyway. Because I work out 5 or 6 times a week. Or a little bit of a party uniform. Otherwise, the picture looks like me of course! “
A wax statue at Madame Tussauds. So far, it has only been dedicated to big stars, such as Dua Lipa, Robbie Williams, Lionel Messi and Lady Gaga. Listener Joyce will soon be among them. She can then walk around herself and see for the first time exactly how the world has always seen her. Qmusic is running this roadshow with Madame Tussauds Amsterdam, in honor of the attraction’s 50th anniversary. It’s unique: The wax statue is handcrafted and takes months of work by about a dozen professionals. This makes it very expensive: making a wax statue costs around 200,000 euros.
The winner will initially be among the world pop stars for a while, and after a while he will be admired in various places at Madame Tussauds.
