OSS- Reichin Dun Kruisen (photo) is a guest lecturer at the Volksuniversiteit Oss. He worked as a geography teacher at the Bernrod Gymnasium in Heeswijk-Dinther. His hobbies are physical geography, history, Ireland, photography and travel. What do his studies have in common? It all has to do with geography. He shows how landscape is created on Earth and how man arranges it. Two more multi-day courses are planned for this fall: Nature and History of Ireland and Nature and History of the United States.

In four one-and-a-half-hour lessons, Cruysen takes students on a journey through the nature and history of Ireland’s Green Isle. It is partially hidden behind Great Britain. Despite the influence of neighboring countries, it is still a country with its own unique landscape, culture and history. The first meeting will be held on Monday, October 31, followed by November 7, 14 and 21.
Those who love America can engage in a three-part course on the nature and history of the United States. There are two elements that stand out: the colonial history of the vast region and the vast nature of the rugged west of the country. Class days are Tuesday 6th, 13th and 20th December.
