As an ICSR consultant, you work with a team of passionate colleagues from CNV International in the Netherlands and colleagues and trade union partners from 15 countries.
Your work as a CSR Consultant will include:
- Provide knowledge and expertise on ICSR agreements and sectoral agreements (including metals and renewable energy) in the field of labor rights and due diligence;
- Providing expertise on labor rights, living wages, access to solutions within sectoral certification bodies such as RSPO and Bonsucro;
- Develop CSR tools, guidelines and training for trade unions, companies and government bodies in producing countries;
- Conduct discussions and negotiations with companies and other stakeholders within various MSIs (Multi Stakeholder Initiatives) to highlight critical labor rights violations
- Setting up campaigns and intervention strategies to deal with labor rights risks in the chain in collaboration with companies.
- Identifying opportunities for joint projects with companies in various chains in the field of labor rights and due diligence
You work closely with our 2 policy advisors (lobbyists), our regional teams (Asia, Africa and Latin America) and local trade union partners. You will travel several times a year, for example to give HRDD training or to speak at conferences about labor rights, for example in palm oil, sugarcane, textiles or mining.
CNV International is a multi-ambition driven organization. So we are looking for a colleague who:
- University or HBO background with at least 2-5 years of experience in the field of sustainability and CSR;
- Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders within international chain initiatives and conduct discussions and advise companies;
- Practical knowledge and experience with UNGPs, OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and Human Rights Due Diligence;
- Demonstrable experience in setting up or implementing projects with organizations and having the right skills to mobilize them;
- Strong connection and experience with central themes in CNV International projects related to ICSR: social dialogue, labor rights and living wages in production chains and gender equality;
- With a good verbal and written command of Dutch and English. If you speak French or Spanish, that’s an advantage.
- There is a meaningful level where you can actually influence working conditions in manufacturing countries;
- The work environment that develops due to the introduction of the IMVO Act, through which you can constantly learn a lot.
- A position of 32-36 hours per week;
- Salary according to the CNV Vakcentrale collective labor agreement, a minimum of €3,538.36 per month totaling €5,486.67 with a maximum of 36 hours per week.
- Good package of secondary working conditions like 8.33% year-end bonus and PFZW pension scheme
- travel allowance, a phone and a laptop;
- A good central workplace in Utrecht, easily accessible by public transport.
- A hybrid work policy with greater freedom to work from home or elsewhere. On Thursdays we work as a team in Utrecht as much as possible;
