In the first stage, our brains are more active and produce strange dreams, and in the second, we simply reproduce what we experienced the day before. “When non-paradoxical dreams represent literally past events, paradoxical dreams tend to combine those events in a more creative way,” said lead researcher Jacob Jordan. And the more creative your mind is at night, the better you can store things in your mind during the day.
