Harness topper Eise 489 Sport Elite AAA moves to America
The KFPS Stud Book stallion Eise 489 Sport Elite AAA is heading to America. This became known at the stallion show held in Harish on Saturday, April 8, where Eise 489 and his “mate” Jurre 495 in the long lines received a standing ovation during their last show. The stallion will be owned by Bonanza Ranch in Florida and will go to the Wim Cazemier stallion station in Indiana.
Four-time horse and carriage book champion
The 14-year-old stallion by Stahl Chardon has a proven track record, especially in harness racing. He has won the Silverbowl no less than four times. In 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 he won the Horse Book Championship for Carriage. The stallion, bred by the De Vries family of Hindeloopen, became Horse of the Year 2016. Last year, Eise 489 made waves at the Friesian Proms, at Stallion Inspection and at the KWPN with stablemate and five-time Hong Kong champion Jurre 495 in the long lines. Last year they became champions in duo and tandem formation.
Hit in the harness, strong under the saddle
Son of Maurits 437 out of Ster Preferente Performance’s Olof 315 comes from line 15 and was approved in 2015 as a six-year-old. He earned his Central Inquiry designation mainly due to his performances in the harness. Among other things, he was reserve champion in the Pavo Friso Cup in 2015. During the CO, he also achieved his highest score in the harness with 85 points, but he also shone under saddle with 84.5 points. He competes in the heavy round with Marcia Dickmann.
Fun personality
In 2020, his first crop of three-year-olds was shown. He made an excellent impression during inspections and ABFP tests. He is one of the strongest sire in the trotting trait. The offspring are also characterized by their very gentle character. Until 2022, approximately 850 matings of Eise 489 have been registered. He has five grandchildren who were declared Crown and three who were awarded the AAA designation. Eise 489 successfully completed the progeny research in 2021 and is therefore finally approved.
